What is MMIR?

Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives

MMIR is a movement that advocates for the end of violence against Indigenous women and relatives (Men and our Two spirit our included). It also seeks to draw attention to the high rates of disappearances and murders of Indigenous people, particularly women and girls.  The MMIR movement exists because a large number of Indigenous women go missing and are murdered each year compared to women from other groups.
